Bartlett: Resilient Tourism Critical to Sector’s Contribution to Economy

WASHINGTON, DC - Jamaica’s Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has warned that despite tourism being one of the most significant contributors to global output – providing jobs, incomes and livelihoods for millions of people – the sector remains susceptible to external shocks and crises, such as natural disasters, economic downturns, and pandemics.

Guyana Leads CARICOM Countries in Economic Growth for 2023

WASHINGTON, DC -Guyana is expected to record the highest growth among Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries this year while Haiti will record under one percent growth in 2023, according to the latest World Economic Outlook, released by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday.
