He ELC Announces Nearly $1.5 Million in Educational Scholarships to Black College Students For 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the pre-eminent membership organization committed to increasing the number of global Black executives in C-suites, on corporate boards and in global enterprises, will offer nearly $1.5 million in scholarships for Black undergraduate and graduate students in 2022. Undergraduate scholarship applications open today at https://elcscholarships.elcinfo.com/ and graduate applications launch on February 15 via the same link.

Florida McDonald’s to Award $100,000 in Grants to Benefit Local K-12 Students as a Part of its Golden Grants Program

Starting today, educators and individuals who represent programs and organizations that fuel the imagination, education and growth of students can apply for a Florida Golden Grant. This is the first year the state of Florida local owners and operators are funding the Golden Grants program. The program will award $100,000 in grants to various teachers and organizations to positively impact the lives of thousands of students.

Caribbean Examinations Council to Develop New Certification Program

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The Barbados-based Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Tuesday said it would be re-examining its qualification framework to establish a progressive assessment, certification system aimed at minimizing the number of students leaving the secondary school system without certification.

UN Says Hot Meals Help Haiti’s School Children Recover from Earthquake

UNITED NATIONS – The United Nations says the children who were affected by the massive earthquake which devastated large parts of south-west Haiti in August are receiving free hot meals at school as part of an initiative by the UN’s World Food Program (WFP) to support the recovery of the French-speaking Caribbean country’s most vulnerable communities.

Caribbean Nationals Receive Tourism Scholarships

MIAMI, Florida - The recently announced professional development program for Caribbean hospitality professionals, launched by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) and Les Roches, the hospitality management institution, has named two dozen Caribbean scholarship recipients.
