“My sound is unique and transforming, because I love different genres of music, so I adapted and received a lot of inspiration from different cultures. My sound is transcending,” he said.

KR Kinetic, who is from the Jamaican capital, had eyed a career in music since high school. Because of The Money, his first song, was released when he was a teenager.

After recording a number of songs for Soniclink Productions, he hooked up with Wildfire Records, a company which works with veteran artists such as singer Roland Burrell, best known for the 1982 hit song, Johnny Dollar.

As much as he admires dancehall and hip hop acts, KR Kinetic is also inspired by roots icons like Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and Garnet Silk, whom he strives to emulate.

“Everybody’s music has an impact on me, I want to be able to use my voice and my talent to change the world for the better,” he said.
