Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival Returning to Fruit & Spice Park, April 6 And 7

MIAMI —If you love all things barbeque, get your bibs and bellies ready, as the Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival is returning for its ninth season, Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Preston B. Bird/Mary Heinlein Fruit & Spice Park, 24801 SW 187 Ave., Homestead, Florida. 

The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, which presents the annual event, is bringing in the grillmasters lakeside for some tantalizing BBQ, beer, amazing music and other family-style entertainment. South Florida’s best ribs, brisket and chicken will be available for purchase as well as seafood, conch fritters and other festival treats.

Relax while strolling through the park or spread your blanket and enjoy the scenery. There will be a classic car and bike cruise-in show, pony rides and other kids’ activities. 

Festival admission is $10 per person and children age 11 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. 

Sponsors of the 2019 Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival include Miami-Dade County and Thunder Country 100.3 FM.

Fruit & Spice Park is operated by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and grows more than 500 varieties of subtropical fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables and nuts from around the world on 39 lush acres in the Redland.
