Chairwoman Edmonson Reads to Students

MIAMI-DADE – In celebration of Dominican-American Cultural Heritage Week, Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson had the pleasure of once again reading to students at the Latinos United After-School Program in Allapattah in District 3.

Chairwoman Edmonson, invited each year by Latinos United Executive Director Dr. Amada Vargas, was joined by other “special guest readers” from Miami's Dominican-American community. The Chairwoman read “Love You Forever,” a book that teaches children that, when they grow up in a home with parents who love and protect them, they grow up to be good loving parents too.
