COVID-19 Vaccines for Seniors in Miramar This Saturday

MIRAMAR, FL  – This upcoming Saturday, February 6th from 8am to 5pm, the State will be administering 1,000 vaccines at ChristWay Baptist Church located at 3800 South Douglas Road in Miramar.Seniors can call the church at 954-442-7477 to schedule an appointment and are encouraged to arrive no more than 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment time.

The vaccination drive continues the City’s commitment to getting as many residents vaccinated as possible. Last weekend, the City collaborated with Florida State Representative, Marie Woodson and the Florida Division of Emergency Management to administer first dose vaccines to seniors and medical workers in the community. Representative Woodson stated, “I am thrilled to have partnered with the City of Miramar and surrounding cities on this important initiative as we continue to do our part to ensure vulnerable members of the community get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.”

Miramar City Manager Vernon Hargray stated, “I want to thank Representative Woodson and other elected officials and City staff who were instrumental in making last week’s vaccination efforts possible. We were able to get 500 seniors and medical personnel vaccinated at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and we are looking forward to getting other seniors vaccinated this weekend and beyond.”
