MIAMI —Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is seeking applicants for the position of Full-Time Bus Operator.
Applications are being accepted starting today until Saturday, July 31, 2021. Those interested in applying can do so via the Miami-Dade County jobs website.
Becoming a full-time Bus Operator with Miami-Dade Transit includes many great benefits, such as competitive pay and career advancement opportunities within DTPW and other County departments. Bus Operator trainees will earn $15.49 per hour as they gain experience in the full-time position. After successfully graduating from a nine-week training program, the pay rate increases to $16.32 per hour.
To be selected, applicants must successfully pass a background screening and physical exam, and must have the following documents:
- A high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED)
- A photo identification, such as a Florida driver's license
- Proof of having passed the General Knowledge, Air-Brake and Passenger Transport test sections of the Commercial Driver License (CDL)exam (current and valid CDL Permit)
