North Miami Beach CRA to Host ‘NMB Bites’ to Celebrate Black History Month

North Miami Beach, Fla.  – The City of North Miami Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (NMB CRA) will be hosting its NMB Bites on February 5, in honor and celebration of Black History Month. NMB Bites is a signature event series designed to celebrate North Miami Beach’s (NMB) culturally diverse cuisine and community.  

The event will take place at the Senator Gwen Margolis Amphitheater, located at 16501 Northeast 16th St., North Miami Beach from 5 – 9 p.m.   

The NMB CRA partnered with local restaurants to give attendees the experience and taste of the diversity of culinary dishes in the Black community found in NMB. Local participating restaurants include: 

  • The Squeeze Juice Bar (wellness) 
  • Vegetarian Restaurant by Hakim (vegetarian) 
  • Kingston Delight (Jamaican) 
  • Chic Poulet (Haitian) 
  • Family Cuisine (Haitian) 
  • Fat Boyz Wings (comfort) 
  • House of Mac (comfort) 
  • Vybe 305 (comfort)  

“Food is an expression of cultural identity and it plays an important part of cultural heritage,” said NMB CRA Director, Joann Milord. “This event series is a great way to celebrate, promote and maintain the diverse culture and community that exists in North Miami Beach.”  

This event is free to the public. Registration is required for attendees to obtain tickets for free food samples. A special live performance of Earth, Wind and Fire tribute band, Let’s Groove Tonight.
