Guyana Lifts Nationwide Curfew

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Guyana Friday announced the immediate lifting of the nationwide curfew that had been put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic two years ago.

Barbados to Eliminate Curfews on Monday

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Health Minister Ian Gooding-Edghill has announced that effective Monday, Barbados will no longer have a curfew as part of its Emergency Management (COVID-19)(Curfew) Directive.

CARPHA Cautions Giving Children the Adult Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago – The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has cautioned Ministries of Health across the region against administering any dosage of the adult Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to children aged 5 to 11 years, as they continue to roll out their vaccination campaigns.

Bermuda Prepares to Vaccinate Young Children

HAMILTON, Bermuda — Bermuda’s children aged five to 11 are soon to be given the opportunity to be vaccinated against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic , which has now killed 119 people on the island after another death, although active cases continue to fall, health officials announced.

PAHO: Americas Remain Most Unequal Region in the World in Fight Against COVID

WASHINGTON, D.C. - While 63 percent of people in Latin America and the Caribbean have now been vaccinated against COVID-19, coverage remains uneven, with 14 countries and territories immunizing 70 percent of their populations and the same number failing to reach even 40 percent coverage, the Pan American Health Organization Director Dr. Carissa Etienne said on Wednesday.

Trinidad and Tobago Records Decline in COVID Cases

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Trinidad and Tobago is recording a decline in the number of patients being treated for the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but health officials warn that it is still too early for people to disregard the various protocols put in place to stem the spread of the virus that has killed 3, 412 people and infected 112, 000 over a two year period.
