MIAMI, Florida – Batcheba Louis netted five times while Melchie Dumornay chimed in with a hat-trick as unbeaten Haiti condemned St Kitts and Nevis to their third straight defeat in the CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup Qualifiers with a crushing 13-0 result on Monday.
Playing at the SKNFA Technical Centre in Basseterre, the French Caribbean side stormed to a 6-0 lead at the break before also dominating the second half, to remain top of Group A in League A.
The 26-year-old Louis produced a first-half hat-trick when she netted in the eighth, 20th and 26th minutes, before adding a fourth in the 63rd and the final goal deep in stoppage.
Dumornay, 20, scored her first in the 14th before netting a second half double in the 54th and 62nd, as Haiti piled the pressure on the Kittitians.
Kethna Louis, a 27-year-old France-based centre back, was good enough to chip in with a first-half brace (4th, 17th) while Josephine Vanuxeem (85th), Danielle Etienne (90th) and Nérilia Mondésir (90+) played supporting roles.
The drubbing was the second in five days for St Kitts who were hammered 11-0 by Haiti last Thursday, also in Basseterre.
Then, Dumornay netted five times while Mondésir banged in a hat-trick.
In League C, Group A leaders Belize won their third on the trot with a 3-0 whipping of Turks and Caicos islands at home in Belmopan, Kaite Jones scoring a double in the 44th and 52nd minutes.
