Rosewood Baha Mar Launches a Starry Night A-Fare Culinary Series

Nassau, The Bahamas - In celebration of Spring Equinox this March, Rosewood Baha Mar will launch A Starry Night A-Fare. The carefully curated culinary series features an astrological-inspired menu capturing the star signs along with the elemental personalities – fire, earth, air, and water – through local Bahamian ingredients and flavors.

barmCommencing at sunset on the sands of Cable Beach, guests will gather to enjoy cocktails and canapes on Rosewood’s private beach, before sitting down to the four-course wine-paired tasting menu.

To create this brand-new imaginative menu, Rosewood Baha Mar partnered with renowned astrologer and columnist Shelley von Strunckel who worked with the resort’s esteemed Executive Chef Siddharth Krishna. A culinary journey through astrology, each canape and course will exemplify flavors associated with the elements; themselves representative of three of twelve astrological signs.  For example, fiery Aries might prefer the Carabinero Carpaccio and Caviar course while airy Libras might fall in love with the Crispy Pork Belly with Pumpkin Gnocchi and Vermouth Jus.

Menus featuring insights from Shelley about each star sign have been beautifully created by artist Gergei Erdei, whose drawings have featured in recent Gucci collaborations. Creating a magical table setting for guests encapsulating the astrology theme, luxury British homeware brand Maison Margaux have designed the tablescape, complete with bespoke zodiac tableware.

Available for guests and locals alike, each series will entail three dinners and take place four times a year, marking the equinox and solstice of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
