David Grutman and Pharrell Reveal Their First Resort

PARADISE ISLAND, THE BAHAMAS – Something new, and something extraordinary, will soon arrive in The Bahamas. In 2024, David Grutman of Groot Hospitality and Pharrell Williams will partner with Atlantis Paradise Island to open a brand-new resort: Somewhere Else. The property (which is adjacent to Atlantis, and which will take over the current site of The Beach) is set to offer a unique and immersive experience, blending Grutman’s ability to create highly memorable hospitality platforms with Williams’s dynamic, genre-spanning artistry. The duo has already garnered collaborative success as partners on Swan, the Miami-based restaurant, and The Goodtime Hotel, a Miami Beach-based boutique concept; Somewhere Else marks their next milestone step.

You Can Now Pre-Order Your in-Flight Meals on Caribbean Airlines

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago - From January 27, 2022 Caribbean Airlines will introduce a pre-order meal service, on select routes, which will give customers more choice and an authentic taste of the Caribbean when they fly. This new offering is part of the airline’s focus on enhancing the customer experience, which is the overarching theme of its 2022 campaign: “Reset Expectations”.

US Adds Several Caribbean Countries to Highest COVID-19 Risk Category

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has placed several Caribbean countries onto its highest risk travel category for the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as countries continue to grapple with the latest wave of infections and deaths linked to the Omicron variant of the virus.
