Jamaica Stages Mice Roadshow Events in Washington D.C. and New Jersey

MIAMI – The Jamaica Tourist Board’s Groups & Conventions department is continuing its dynamic campaign to engage top North American meeting planners with recent events in Washington DC and Peapack New Jersey.  Designated “The Spirit of Jamaica,” this roadshow series is a continuation of August events held in Toronto and Montreal.

Top Travel Advisors and Key Media Get to Know Grenada During Spotlight Series Events

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA W.I. – The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) brought a little Spice of the Caribbean flair to key media and travel professionals in South Florida and North Carolina as part of its “Grenada in the Spotlight” series. Representatives from the GTA and hotel partners were on hand to actively engage with 25 media members and approximately 140 travel advisors about Pure Grenada’s latest news and diverse offerings at destination marketing events held on October 15 in Fort Lauderdale and October 17 in Charlotte.

Jamaica Re-positioned in the Japanese Travel Market

OSAKA, Japan,: Destination Jamaica received resounding support from the Japan Association of Travel agents (JATA) in the quest to increase arrivals from that country.  In a meeting with the Jamaican Delegation, Chairman of JATA, Hiromi Tagawa said “JATA is pleased that Jamaica is once again active in the Japanese travel market. We are committed to helping to promote the destination among our members. Arrival numbers to Jamaica will increase.”

Caribbean's Largest Tourism Marketing Event on Track for the Bahamas

MIAMI - Citing the new tourism offerings in The Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean and the opportunity to showcase the nation of islands to the travel world following Hurricane Dorian, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) reaffirmed that all systems are go to bring the region's largest and longest-standing tourism marketing event to The Bahamas January 21 to 23, 2020.

Jamaica's Diverse Activities Offer Skip-Gen Travelers Unforgettable Memories and Experiences

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – As parents juggle priorities to create time for getaways, grandparents are stepping up to the plate and taking the kids on vacation. Defined as skip-gen travel, this is a trend that's gaining traction and grandparents ready to create unforgettable memories need not look any further than Jamaica. According to a recent AARP study, about one-third of grandparents have taken their grandchildren on skip-gen trips. The same study sited that 61% are interested in taking their grandchildren on vacation.
