CES 2022: Top Ten Gadgets and Gizmos

Following-up on my story a few weeks ago on the metaverse, this week I want to focus on the coolest tech seen at CES 2022. Once again, Woodie Lesesne and her Infocus team were on the ground and gave us great visuals of the newest tech. You can read and watch their incredible experiences below.

NUMBER TEN - Helm. Ai

ghelaHelm.ai has numerous screens that display their tech, offering safer software in the autonomous vehicles sector. Helm.ai is pushing things forward with adaptive feedback and predictive software that will make autonomous vehicles more advanced and safer for consumers.

NUMBER NINE - PC Gaming

gpcgamePC gaming has seen astronomical growth over the last decade. Comfort and customizability are a big factor for many gamers, and ways to make your setup unique are limitless. If you're going to build a setup from scratch, you might as well set it apart with the looks and style that's unique to you.

NUMBER EIGHT- Retro Gaming Returns

gretroThe love for pixel art games, arcade style entries and retro gaming has remained over the decades. Recently, there's been a massive resurgence as third party developers have taken the best of the retro style and pushed it to the next level.

NUMBER SEVEN - The Evolution of VR

gvrVirtual reality when first introduced seemed more like sci-fi than applicable tech. Now it appears that VR is soon going to be a mainstay as a part of the gaming experience as well as many other useful applications and practical uses.

NUMBER SIX - Doosan Drummer and Robots

gdoosanDoosan Group offers hydrogen fuel-cell drones, collaborative robots that are intended to be used in factories or other industrial sites alongside humans. They were made to be small, flexible, and sensitive enough to be stopped by a simple touch. This makes them safe for work near humans, and Doosan Group demonstrated this by having them play music alongside a drummer and pick apples from a tree.

grobotNUMBER FIVE- Hyundai Robotic waiters, Mobile service units

ghyunHyundai robotic waiters delivered sandwiches, soft drinks and helped the humans take care of customers. This may have some bigger implications about the future of the service industry, but for now it’s a solid demo with some practical usage.

NUMBER FOUR - Hyundai Metaverse Pavilion

gvhotThe hot topic all week long at CES is the Metaverse. The Hyundai Mobis metaverse display was a dynamic, colorful, and interactive set up for its guests. You could build your own avatar and immerse yourself in the metaverse of JoyTown, then ride in a Mobis, Hyundai’s advanced and multi-purpose electric vehicle project.

NUMBER THREE - V HOT ROD

gchalotThis French-made all electric hot rod, designed by Phillipe Chalot is both a throwback and futuristic with classic design cues all hot rod lovers recognize and some updated features making the vehicle modern and functional.

NUMBER TWO - Indy Autonomous Racer

gracerThe Indy autonomous race car captured attention by just being there, racing on its own without a driver.

NUMBER ONE - Spot the Dancing Robot Dog

gbostonFinally, Spot the dancing robot dog from Hyundai and Boston Dynamics. It serves important functional purposes as well as boundless entertainment.
