Caribbean Carnival Spectacle Goes on Without Massive Parade

NEW YORK, New York – The Brooklyn-based West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA), says while the annual West Indian American Day Carnival Parade on Labour Day, September 6, has been postponed until 2022, activities will go ahead even though the main activity is being cancelled for the second consecutive year due to the coronavirus (COVID019) pandemic.

Museum Professionals from Across the Caribbean Gather to Discuss Resilience Curators, Scholars, and Researchers uniting virtually for the Museums Association of the Caribbean's Annual Conference on Nov 3-4

Washington DC-Museum professionals from across the Caribbean will virtually connect in early November to reflect on cultivating resiliency and what it means during a global health crisis. The Museums Association of the Caribbean (MAC) is devoting its annual conference and general meeting on November 3 to 5 to the theme "Cultivating Resilience in Museums and Cultural Heritage Sites." In more than 15 concurrent sessions, museum professionals, including curators, educators, scholars, and researchers, are uniting to discuss themes related to historical sites, indigenous peoples, and social justice. 

Entries Open for 2021 Jamaica Customer Service Song Competition

The Jamaica Customer Service Song Competition is now accepting online entries for its 2021 Cycle. The competition which is in its 4th year of staging is a proud product of the partnership between the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC)and the Jamaica Customer Service Association (JaCSA), and has quickly become a vibrant highlight of the annual National Customer Service Week each October.
