CARIBBEAN-BUSINESS-CARICOM: Strengthening Private Sector Engagement, Work in Progress

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – From a long proposed Caribbean Business Council (CBC) and a waning Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC), the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) now has three  new private sector organizations , namely, the Network of Caribbean Chambers of Commerce (CARICHAM), the CARICOM Private Sector Organization (CPSO), and the recently announced CARICOM Manufacturers’ Association (CMA).

Sandals Foundation Sources Over 2,000 Digital Tablets to Support Caribbean Students’ Online Learning Needs

Continuing the spirit of giving, the Sandals Foundation has just donated over 2,060 digital tablets to more than 2,000 students across the Caribbean to support the region’s online learning needs following the successful execution of the Lessons Alive campaign. With access to tablets, students are now more equipped for online classes and can take advantage of distance learning instructions this school year.
