County Expands COVID-19 Testing Program

BROWARD COUNTY – Broward County, the Florida Department of Health in Broward (FDOH-Broward), American Medical Response (AMR) and Century Ambulance Services (CAS) are set to launch on Wednesday, May 6, a new mobile/in-home testing program that continues our efforts to increase the number of COVID-19 tests that health professionals are able to administer to our residents.

Chairwoman Edmonson Feeds Hundreds

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson teamed up with Farm Share to feed about 500 families at a drive-through food distribution at the Caleb Center on April 30.

Commissioner Joe Martinez Distributes Over 1,200 Bags of Food

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe Martinez partnered with Farm Share to distribute over 1,200 bags of food to the residents at University Lakes Park, a mobile home community. All COVID-19 CDC guidelines were followed to ensure the health and safety of volunteers and community members. Residents remained within the safety of their cars while volunteers placed the boxed food in their trunks.

City of Miramar Issues Order for Individuals to Wear Face Coverings to Limit the Spread of the Coronavirus

Miramar, FL–Miramar City Manager, Vernon Hargray on Tuesday issued an Order requiring all individuals to wear a nose and mouth covering in public. This includes all employees and customers of grocery stores, hardware stores, pharmacies and restaurants. All individuals providing delivery services are also required to wear a form of covering over their noses and mouths while making deliveries.
