FIU Law Receives $124,850 Grant to Increase Diversity in the Legal Profession

Florida International University College of Law has been awarded a $124,850 grant by the AccessLex Center for Legal Education Excellence to launch a new pre-law initiative, the Path to the Legal Profession (“FIU Law Path”).   The two-year grant supports the FIU Law Path program, whose primary objective is to facilitate the increased enrollment of South Floridian low income, first generation, minority, and other traditionally underrepresented groups into law school as well as to further the development of skills necessary for a successful law school experience once matriculated.

Benedict College Receives ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation

Columbia, SOUTH CAROLINA -- The American Council on Education (ACE) announced today that Benedict College in South Carolina is a recipient of the 2019 ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation. Presented at ACE2019, ACE’s 101st Annual Meeting, the award will be accepted by President Roslyn Clark Artis on behalf of Benedict College. The University of South Florida (USF) is the only other recipient of this award.

JADE Celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2019

The Jamaican Association of Miami-Dade Educators (JADE) will be celebrating its 25th Year as a 501(3) C (non-profit), service and professional organization. Members and friends will commemorate the occasion with the Annual Scholarship Award Banquet and Dance on May 11, 2019, at Miami Marriot Dadeland Hotel, located at 9090 S. Dadeland Boulevard. This event will commence at 9:00 P.M. Once again, members will be recognizing and presenting some well deserving high school graduates with scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each in recognition of their scholastic achievement and community service.

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine Establishes Partnership with Clarence Fitzroy Bryant

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts.  –– Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) announced a partnership with Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC), the leading post-secondary education provider on the island of St. Kitts. This agreement will establish a program of collaborative research to promote the advancement of science, technology and learning through student and fellowship research opportunities.
